Summary: This is a great TV
Comment: I actually bought this TV from Costco (because Amazon wasn't selling them at the time). Be that as it may, this is a GREAT TV. The picture is outstanding and blows away many more expensive TVs. Also, for the size, its VERY light and easy to move around as you find the perfect spot for it. I have had the TV for almost a year and have had no problems and would highly recommend this for someone looking to get into Full HD (1080p)!

Summary: Worked Great, Then In For Repair!
Comment: I purchased this from Amazon in December, and they are GREAT! The TV worked great, but then broke and has been in the local JVC repair shop for 4 weeks! I have never had a problem with JVC equipment before, but this one was a lemon!

Summary: Great TV
Comment: The picture on this tv will blow you away. I bought this from Amazon for 1800$ + free shipping, what a steal. They delivered it in a timely fashion and it worked like it should right out of the box. For the price this tv is much better than an LCD or Plasma.

Summary: This picture rocks!
Comment: We have been looking at HDTV's for over a year now and finally took the plunge with this one. The picture is awesome (I am getting hd local channels with an indoor antenna and you really can tell a huge difference). The Menu is pretty simple and I have a surround system pumping thru the digital optical since my DVD is not hdmi ready. I am looking at the toshiba hd dvd player and will likely add that when my best buy rewards points come. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this set other than it takes a minute or two to warm up (like all rear projections do I understand).

Don't hesitate on this one and you are all set with 1080p for blue ray or HD-DVD!

Useful: HDTV resolutions

Resolution, or picture detail, is the main reason why HDTV programs look so good. The standard-definition programming most of us watch today has at most 480 visible lines of detail, whereas HDTV has as many as 1,080. HDTV looks sharper and clearer than regular TV by a wide margin, especially on big-screen televisions. It actually comes in two different resolutions, called 1080i and 720p. One is not necessarily better than the other; 1080i has more lines and pixels, but 720p is a progressive-scan format that should deliver a smoother image that stays sharper during motion
